Mitzi sits down at her computer desk the next morning.
Mitzi: What the-? Why is my computer in here, instead of in my office?
So, she goes to check her office…
Cleaning a bathtub is difficult when you’re in your third trimester of pregnancy.
Ray is in the living room watching TV after Mitzi has gotten dressed.
Mitzi: I love the baby’s new room!
Raymond: It’s not much, but-
Mitzi: *interrupts* Shhh…. it’s perfect!
Raymond: Glad you like it!
Mitzi: So do you have any thoughts on what we should name the baby?
Raymond: If it’s a boy… I like Trent, but for a girl… I was thinking Sonia. What about you?
Mitzi: I don’t know, I always liked those combo names.
Raymond: Combo names?
Mitzi: Yeah… like if the mom’s name is Felicia and the dad’s name is Joe… you name the baby Jolicia.
Raymond: Yeah, but our names don’t exactly go together like that. What would we do? Name the baby Rayzi or Mitmond?
Mitzi: I guess that wouldn’t work for us, would it?
Raymond: No… not at all.
Stands up to leave the room.
Mitzi: I do kind of like Zimond though!
Raymond: No way Mitzi.
Mitzi: Raymit or Mitray?
Raymond: No Mitzi!
Mitzi: *chuckles* No combo names?
Raymond: No combo names… at all!
A nap for the pregnant lady.
Ray’s sister Gladys comes to visit.
Gladys: So, how’s married life so far?
Raymond: Great… Mitzi’s the best thing that’s happened to me and to top that, I’ll be a father any day now.
Gladys: You know how I feel about marriage and so-called commitment, but you and Mitzi’s relationship actually gives me hope!
Raymond: *sarcastic* Really? I’m shocked! What has the world come to?
Gladys’ visit is a good excuse for Ray to make drinks at his bar.
Raymond: So… if Mitzi and I give you hope, can I expect to attend your wedding anytime soon?
Gladys: Ha, don’t hold your breath!
Raymond: Don’t wait too long… my son or daughter will need a cousin to play with.
Gladys: That’s probably not going to happen.
Raymond: Never say never!
Mitzi is up from her nap when Gladys reenters the house.
Gladys: Hey Mitz! You feeling okay?
Mitzi: I think I may be having some contractions.
Gladys: Well that’s my cue to leave.
Gladys is obviously very uncomfortable with the idea of babies and labor.
