Mitzi tries to get some extra sleep, but baby Trent ain’t having it!
Somebody needs a diaper change.
(I love that sims can finally nurse their babies without the need for a mod.)
Ray is slowly building his mixology skill. Later, Beverly stops by, but Ray turns her away.
Raymond: Not right now Bev… come back later.
Beverly: *sad* But, I wanted to see the baby.
Beverly reluctantly leaves and Ray checks on his veggies.
Ray is on baby duty, while Mitzi gets dressed to go out and boost her comedy career.
Mitzi’s on her way out the door when Gladys decides to stop by.
Mitzi: You have to come in and meet your nephew Trent!
Gladys: I don’t know… me and babies don’t exactly mix.
Mitzi: You don’t have to mix. You’re his aunt…he has to meet his only aunt!
Gladys follows Mitzi into the house.
Raymond: Hey sis! Did you come to meet Trent?
Gladys: Something like that.
Mitzi brings Trent’s crib out of the bedroom.
Mitzi: Here he is!
Gladys: Aw… he’s so… cute.
Raymond: You can’t even see him from here… go over there and hold your nephew.
Gladys: I can see enough… chubby legs and a diaper! I’ll wait until he’s older and not so… fragile.
Mitzi: He’s not fragile at all! He’s a tough little guy… aren’t you mommy’s baby?
Trent: *cooing happily*
Gladys: Where are you heading all dressed up?
Mitzi: There’s a new comedy lounge in Oasis Springs… I’m scheduled to perform there.
Gladys: I’ve heard about it… it’s supposed to be real nice.
Mitzi: Want to come?
Gladys: No… I’m not too fond of crowds. I’ll just hang out here for a while.
Mitzi: Alright… see you later *gives Gladys a hug*
Gladys doesn’t seem like the ‘hugging’, ‘baby’ OR ‘marriage’ type.
Mitzi heads out to the Top-Notch Comedy Lounge… where she meets up with her friend Beverly.
Mitzi decides to eat something before heading up on stage. The last thing she needs is for her stomach to start growling while she’s performing her set.
Mitzi goes up on stage and starts performing her set. At first, no one is listening; not even her friend Beverly. So, she decides to try out a new routine.
Mitzi: I have an addiction ya’ll… and the other day, I overdosed…
That statement draws some attention. Mitzi continues…
Mitzi: Naw… it’s not what you think. I’m addicted to cookies, straight up. I’m sure some of ya’ll can relate. Ever eat up a whole bag of cookies in the middle of the night?
The crowd begins to gather as Mitzi continues…
Mitzi: I think sometimes I go into a cookie coma after I binge. Because the next night I forget, get mad, then spend an hour running around the house yelling, ‘who ate up all the damn cookies?’ Oh, but I feel real dumb when I remember that it was me. I ain’t got nobody to blame but my own greedy self. Don’t act like I’m the only one… I know some of ya’ll have done the same thing.
The crowd laughs and nods in agreement. Mitzi draws energy from their laughter, which leads to a very successful set.
Mitzi leaves Top-Notch confident as she hurries to work where she has another set to perform.
Meanwhile, at home, Trent keeps Ray very busy.
Finally, Trent is asleep and Ray gets a little peace.
Mitzi returns home and Ray’s attempt to fix the stereo leads to the family’s first small house fire. Ray attempts to extinguish it while Mitzi gets scared and leaves the house… leaving Ray and baby Trent inside…(SMH)
