Reminder: This is my very first Sims 4 family, which was originally posted back in 2015. I’m in the process of moving these posts over from my Tumblr page. See more info here!

It’s Trent’s birthday.  Ray tries to finish baking Trent’s birthday cake before he leaves for school, but he took a little too long showing off his fancy baking skills…

Trent aged up at school (I didn’t know that could happen).  He went to school as a little boy and came back home early looking like a grown man =D  (He’s good looking though!!) His new lifetime wish is Painter Extraordinaire and his Traits are muser, active and childish.

Seeing her firstborn looking so grown up makes Mitzi feel nostalgic.

Mitzi:  I just can’t believe how grown-up you look.

Trent:  Mmm…hmm

Mitzi:  Seems like yesterday that you were just a little baby.

Trent: Mmm…hmm

Mitzi:  Oh my God… I think I’m going to cry!

Trent:  Mom, please… I just want to eat my cake.

Trent is feeling a little depressed that his parents didn’t throw him a birthday party, but at least he got a new easel. (I gave Trent a mini makeover to get rid of the full-grown man beard – lol)

Trent hopes that going out for a jog would improve his mood, but… it doesn’t.

Raymond:  Is something bothering you son?

Trent:  *mopey tone*  No

Raymond:  Are you sure?

Trent:  No dad!  I just want to do my homework.

Raymond:  Now I know that something is bothering you… I’m here if you want to talk about it.

To make matters worse for Trent… he’s not the only one to age up today.  Kisha also ages up.  Her new childhood ambition is Social Butterfly with a Outgoing trait.

Kisha also gets a make-over.

Trent is irritated at how his family is walking around like nothing has happened; not even acknowledging that they neglected to throw him a birthday party.  He decides to leave the house and hang out with his best friend Kyle at the Del Sol library.

Trent:  Dude… can you believe it?!  They’re just prancing around like it’s no big deal!

Kyle Jr.:  Well, did you tell them that you wanted a party?

Trent:  No… but that’s not the point.

Kyle Jr.:  Whatever dude!  It’s hot as Hades out here… let’s go inside.

Trent drags himself into the library.

Trent:  My sister Kisha aged up today too.  I’m sure they’re giving her a boat load of attention.

Kyle Jr.:  Hey… my mom just had triplets.  Right now, my sister Mya and I don’t even exist, but you don’t see me complaining.

Mya:  KJ… you told mom that we were coming here to study!  You’d better get started.

Mya warns her twin brother before walking away.

Trent:  Dude… is that your sister Mya?

Kyle Jr.:  Yeah, who do you think it is?

Trent: *watches Mya walking away*  Someone who may be able to cheer me up.

Kyle Jr.:  Good luck with that one!

Trent sits down next to Mya.

Mya:  What do you want?

Trent:  Nothing… I just needed a friend to talk to.  Why so tense?

Mya:  KJ’s always playing some type of prank on me!  Did he get you in on it now?

Trent:  No… I have too many problems to play tricks on people.

Mya:  *relieved tone*  Okay, so what’s up?

Trent:  I was just feeling bad because my parents totally neglected to help me celebrate my birthday.

Mya: Aw… I’m so sorry.  Sucks doesn’t it?

Trent:  A little…

Mya:  Well… try having a twin brother who plays too much and parents who’re too busy with three new babies to do anything about it!!

Trent:  Yeah… I guess you’re the one with the real problems.

Trent, Kyle and Mya,  joined by Beverly’s son Isiah, go upstairs to the children’s section of the library to play a card game.

Mya:  You know… sometimes I just wish that we could divorce our parents!

Trent:  Divorce?  I wouldn’t go that far!

Mya:  Yeah, but we still should be given the option.  If parents can divorce each other… why can’t we divorce them?

Kyle Jr.:  Dang Mya… we don’t have it that bad.

Mya:  I’m not talking about us… I’m talking about the kids who really have crappy parents.

Trent:  Maybe… I guess.  I don’t know, I actually have great parents.

Trent:  Who would take care of us if we divorced our parents?

Mya:  We could get jobs and take care of ourselves… and maybe even start our own societies.

Trent:  I don’t know…

Mya:  People have fought for human rights for years, but what about a teen’s rights?

Kyle Jr.:  Uh…Mya, we are human.

Mya:  *frustrated*  I know!  You know what I mean!!

Kyle Jr.: Actually we don’t.

Trent:  Not that I’m not interested in this conversation, but I have to go.  See you all later!

Back at home…

Kisha:  What did you get for number 3?

Gregory:  Why?  We don’t even have the same homework problems.

Kisha:  I know!  I just wanted to know what you got!

Hopefully, Trent will soon find something better to do than mope around.  At least eating cake cheers him up a bit.

Another day ends at the Wallace household.
