Reminder: This is my very first Sims 4 family, which was originally posted back in 2015. I’m in the process of moving these posts over from my Tumblr page. See more info here!

Mitzi is enjoying music on the radio when Trent and Danielle arrive to give her the news.

Trent:  Mom, Danielle, and I have something we want to tell you!

Mitzi:  What is it?

Trent:  We’re getting married!  I proposed today and she said yes!

Mitzi:  Oh wow!  I can’t believe it, congrats!

Mitzi:  Wait a minute…you two aren’t planning on living here are you?

Trent:  No mom!  We’ve been looking at places.

Mitzi:  Oh…in that case…double congratulations!

Mitzi:  So, do I get to help with the wedding planning.

Danielle:  Yes ma’am!  We’d love to have your help.

Kisha walks over and gives Trent a hug.

Kisha:  Congrats big brother…you’re marrying well!

Trent:  Aw…thanks.  I can thank you for your help with that!

Greg is not feeling as congratulatory.  With everyone distracted by Trent’s news, he sees an opportunity to slip away, so he texts Ebony and asks if she wants to hang out.

Greg arrives in Newcrest and double-checks his text from Ebony to see if he’s arrived at the right address.  There’s a man standing out front…

Gregory:  Hi…uh…does Ebony live here?

Art:  Yeah…that’s my daughter.  I’m Art Murray.  You must be Greg – she told me you were coming.  Just go on in!

Running into Ebony’s dad has made Greg feel extremely uneasy.  He hurries into the house and calls out for Ebony…

Ebony:  I’m upstairs, Greg.  Come on up!

Greg heads upstairs and meets Ebony on the landing.

Ebony:  You okay?  You look a little perturbed.

Gregory:  I was just a little thrown off that I get here and the first person I meet is your father.

Ebony:  Well… he lives here, so that’s just sort of how it goes.  Sorry that it made you feel uncomfortable.  Want to go outside?

Gregory:  Sure

Greg and Ebony go out back to the patio.

Ebony:  Did my father really upset you that much…or is there something else bothering you?

Gregory:  *dreadful tone* Oh man…wait til you hear this!

Ebony braces herself for bad news…

Gregory:  My brother just got engaged!

Ebony waits for the bad part, but it doesn’t come.

Ebony:  And?

Gregory:  And what?  That’s it – my brother got engaged!

Ebony:  Yeah, but you make it sound like he died or something.

Gregory:  No…nothing like that – I just know that this whole wedding planning thing is gonna make my life a living hell.

Ebony:  Why is that? You should be happy for him.

Gregory:  Well…I’m happy that he’ll be moving out.

Ebony:  Wow Greg!  Is that the way you see it?  I wish I had a brother or sister… you should consider yourself lucky.

Greg moves over to sit closer to Ebony.

Gregory:  I’d love to be an only child.  Being the middle child sucks.

Ebony:  Yeah, but think about how much time I’ve had to spend alone growing up!

Gregory:  I wish for time alone.

Ebony:  Grass is always greener…

Gregory:  I guess…hey, I wrote a new song on my violin.  Do you want to hear it?

Ebony:  I would have liked to finish our conversation…but okay.

Greg pulls out his violin…

Gregory:  This is called, Flowers in June.

Ebony listens closely as Greg plays.
