Mitzi is moody again because the family will be celebrating another birthday…hers!
Trent: Happy birthday mom!
Mitzi: Don’t bring it up unless you want this fork in your eye!
Trent: Dang mom…is it that bad?
Mitzi: Yes
Kisha hears enough to know that Mitzi is not feeling very happy about aging up today. She stays far away from any words that even sound like happy or birthday.
Ray chooses to ignore Mitzi’s moodiness and begins to make her a birthday cake. Trent gives him fair warning before leaving for work…
Trent: I wouldn’t do that if I were you!
Raymond: Your mom is being silly. Ignoring her birthday won’t make it go away.
Trent: It’s your funeral…I have to be at work, so I won’t be here to save you!
Raymond: I’m not afraid of your mother!
Mitzi is feeling better after a bath, but she isn’t too impressed with Ray’s choice of a birthday cake.
Mitzi: A hamburger cake…really Ray? Is this your idea of a joke?
Raymond: Woman…just make a wish and blow out your candles, please!
Raymond: Happy birthday babe!!
Mitzi: Thanks…I actually don’t feel much of a difference.
Mitzi isn’t too impressed with what her birthday cake looks like, but she’s pleasantly surprised when she tastes it.
Mitzi: Mmmm…that’s good!
Ray has a carpenter coming to do a surprise remodel for Mitzi’s birthday, but first he has to get her out of the house. Luckily his sister Gladys comes to the rescue when she calls and invites Mitzi out to the Solar Flare Lounge.
Gladys: Let’s go have some drinks
Mitzi: Sounds great to me.
At the bar…
Mitzi: So Gladys…how come you never got married and had children? Ray would have loved to have some nieces or nephews.
Gladys: I’m sure he would have, but I’m not the motherly type. All that whining and changing diapers… my children would have had to been born like the goddess Athena – fully grown!
Mitzi: But babies can be so much fun!
Gladys: Maybe…but from a distance. And a husband…that’s even worse. Nope…I’m perfectly happy with my life the way it is!
Mitzi: Well – I suppose that’s all that matters.
While Mitzi was at the lounge…the kitchen renovations were complete. Ray decided to give their kitchen a more open feel by having the walls cut down to half. He then had a new smaller dining room table put in and bought Mitzi an ice cream maker. A few new decorations were used to complete the look.
Mitzi walks in thinking she’s at the wrong house.
Mitzi: This is wonderful…I love it.
Mitzi walks over to the ice cream maker…
Mitzi: What is this?
It doesn’t take Mitzi long to figure out how to use the ice cream maker.
Mitzi is too busy with her ice cream to thank Ray properly, but it’s obvious to him that his efforts are appreciated.
Mitzi leaves for work just as Trent comes home from work.
Trent: Whoa…where did the wall go?
The renovated kitchen is more appealing to everyone.
Mitzi’s birthday gets even better. She’s earned another promotion! Now she’s level 8 Roast Master in the comedy career.
Later…after enjoying a bowl of ice cream together…Mitzi finally gets a chance to thank Ray for the remodeled kitchen.
Mitzi: I guess growing old is not so bad…
Raymond: No…especially because we were blessed enough to grow old together!
