Reminder: This is my very first Sims 4 family, which was originally posted back in 2015. I’m in the process of moving these posts over from my Tumblr page. See more info here!
Kisha overslept after her late night, chatting with Jeff at the YMCA, and arrives at work tired and hungry. This is obvious to Angela at the front desk when Kisha walks in.
Angela: You look like you had a long night!
Kisha: *smiles* Yeah…something like that.
Kisha grabs a bite to eat before attempting to start her next assignment. Jeff pops into her mind unexpectedly and she smiles thinking about some of the things they talked about last night.
Kisha gets the opportunity to patrol her old neighborhood. Being near the small park where she and her brothers used to play brings back so many memories.
Her pleasant thoughts are interrupted by an angry man who is standing off to the side shouting and cursing to himself.
Kisha: Sir…I’m going to have to ask you to calm down. You can’t be out scaring everyone who passes by!
Angry Man: It’s a free country…I can do what I please!
Kisha: Look sir… if you insist on disturbing the peace, I’m going to have to give you a citation!
Eventually, the man calms down without Kisha taking action, but in the process…he puts her in a very bad mood.
Back at the police station…
Detective Lantz: Don’t look now guys, but the Chief is heading this way.
Everyone immediately feels tense.
Chief Maldonado: Hey, no worries…I’m just over here to check in on the team.
It turns out that the Chief has a very good sense of humor. Some of the other cops and detectives walk over to share a few laughs to lighten the mood and relieve some stress. This is the first time that Kisha feels like a part of the police station family.
Kisha doesn’t spend too much time slacking off. She breaks away from the crowd to finish up her duties for the day. This turns out to be a good decision because she leaves work that day with a promotion to Corporal and a raise.
Kisha changes into her witch costume, prepares food, and starts greeting guests as they arrive at the party.
Alfonso (the neighbor), Abraham (the guy from the bar), and Jeff all arrive inadvertently in identical pirate costumes. Kisha can’t help but make a joke about it…
Kisha: So let me guess…they were having a buy one get two free sale at the costume shop!
(By the way, that’s Abrey’s mom Leigh in the Princess Leia costume.)
After cleaning up a bit, Kisha gets a chance to speak to her brother Greg (who by the way still seems to have Ebony’s attention).
Gregory: It turns out that you were right…Abrey does want some family and friends at our wedding.
Kisha: I figured he would….everybody’s not antisocial like you bro. Have you decided on a date yet?
Gregory: Yes…we’re getting married this Saturday at the Garden of Devotion. Will you be able to make it?
Kisha: I’m supposed to work that day, but maybe I can use one of my vacation days.
Abrey’s little sister Tess arrives. She’s grown into a teen with an exotic beauty sort of like her brother.
Kisha: Hey Jeff, I’m glad you came. So…did you bring me any treats?
Jeffrey: Don’t set yourself up with a question like that…but I did bring you something. *pulls out one piece of candy*
Kisha: That’s it?
Jeffrey: Not unless you’re interested in everything else I have to offer you.
Kisha: *knows what Jeff is implying, but tries to laugh it off* Hey…I’m having a pumpkin carving contest…want to give it a try?
Jeffrey: A contest? I’m always down for a competition.
Kisha goes over to mingle with other guests and Jeff heads outside to carve a pumpkin.
Abraham: Hey…can I talk to you in private for a moment?
Kisha: Uh…sure. Follow me…
Abraham wants to have a semi-serious conversation, but Kisha’s feeling mischievous so she plays a few jokes on him. At least he has a decent sense of humor.
Abraham: C’mon now…I’m trying to ask you out.
Kisha: Uh…can we just enjoy our time together as it is?
Abraham: In other words, you don’t want to go out with me?
Kisha: I like hanging out with you, but I’m not really interested in dating right now.
Abraham: You seem very interested in what’s-his-name.
Kisha: Who…Jeff? No…he’s just a friend.
Speaking of Jeff, Kisha goes outside to check on his progress with the pumpkin carving.
Kisha: Wow! You’re really concentrating and taking your time with that pumpkin carving aren’t you?
Jeffrey: I concentrate and take my time with everything I do.
Kisha reads between the lines and can feel her cheeks become flush.
Kisha: Uh…well, I’ll leave you to it!
The party begins to wind down and people start to leave. By that time, Kisha is practically asleep on her feet.
Kisha: Still here Eb?
Ebony: Yep…determined to eat up all your food!
Kisha: Why don’t you finish up that fruitcake while you’re at it?
Ebony: That? Hell no!
Kisha: That’s it…I’m throwing it away.
Ebony eats her fill and then says her goodbyes.
Kisha learns the hard way that throwing parties are exhausting. She drags herself to bed, hoping that she gets enough rest before she has to leave for work in the morning.
