The next round of solo dates take place in San Myshuno at the Planet Honey Pop karaoke bar. Jalisa and Thomas meet there the evening of the eliminations. Jalisa is in an inspired mood, and Thomas is in a flirty mood as they embrace one another.
Inside, they grab food and sit at one of the tables.
Bear: You know, you’ve been on my mind since our last date.
Voidcritter: Aw…that’s so sweet. You’ve been on my mind, too.
Bear: How’s your day been…I mean – since the elimination?
Voidcritter: Well, the thought of eliminating anyone is sad…and I really did hate to see Andrew go. But, I guess other than that…it’s been okay. Of course, I was looking forward to being here with you, so that brings a smile to my face.
Bear: I don’t think I’ve stopped smiling since I met you!
Voidcritter: *blushes*
This puts them both in a flirty mood.
Voidcritter: You know why we’re here, right?
Bear: To fall in love?
Voidcritter: *smiles* That too, but it’s karaoke time!
Bear: *deep sigh* Okay…let’s get it over with, but I’ll warn you – I’m unbelievably tone-deaf, so…
Voidcritter: Wasn’t it you that said we’re all terrible at something? Let’s do it!
Jalisa quickly discovers that Thomas was not exaggerating when he said that he had a terrible voice. He mumbled and croaked his way through the song, while Jalisa attempted to carry them both with a decent pitch and tone.
After the brutal performance…
Voidcritter: This is not your type of thing, is it?
Bear: Not at all. It’s way outside of my comfort zone.
Voidcritter: Well, the fact that you even attempted it says a lot about you. *blows bear a kiss*
Bear: *catches the kiss* It wouldn’t have happened without the costume, though.
Voidcritter: That’s fair…
Bear: How about we grab drinks and food and just watch other people perform…that’s more my style?
Voidcritter: Sure…that sounds great.
Jalisa and Thomas grab a table and watch the next karaoke performer. At the end of the date…
Bear: This was…I daresay – fun.
Voidcritter: Good. I had fun too. No more singing though…
Bear: You promise?
Jalisa and Thomas end the date with another big hug. Both are in a happy mood with an increased romantic relationship level.
(The Voidcritter) The date was fun, but Thomas is definitely not a partier…that’s for sure. *chuckles* He can’t sing at all! I love that he gave it a shot, though. The date sort of lost its momentum at the end…as he got a little quiet on me. But there’s a definite attraction between us, and I’m looking forward to spending more time with him.
