Nate arrives at the daycare and is greeted by Jaxen.
Jaxen: Hi!
Bunny: Hi there! What is this…and who are you?
Jalisa comes out to explain what’s going on…
Voidcritter: So…this is Jaxen. Jaxen…can you say hi to Mr. Bunny? *to Nate* We’re in charge of them for the next 6 hours.
Bunny: Them? There’s more?
Voidcritter: Yes…6 toddlers in total, and we get to take care of them.
Bunny: Am I being punk’d? Where’s the hidden camera?
Voidcritter: This is very real…come inside and meet the rest.
Nate follows Jalisa inside and sees that she’s not kidding. Toddlers are running around everywhere. They are not inside for 5 minutes before one of them begins spilling food all over the floor.
Bunny: *mumbles to himself* Holy sh…
Nate sits down and tries to make himself useful by introducing himself to the toddlers. He decides to use his costume as an advantage…
Bunny: *fake high-pitch voice* I’m the Spring Bunny…and only good little boys and girls will get bunny eggs on Spring Day!
Baylee ignores him, and Cannon just stares at him…
Bunny: *regular voice* Oh…you all have no idea what Spring Day is, do you? You probably weren’t even born yet.
Time to pull yet another rabbit out of his hat. Having a childish trait…Nate is very good at playing, so that’s what he does. First, he plays dolls with Baylee, then he discovers that Cannon likes to be a bit wild and play rough… he can do that too!
After doing some roughhousing with Cannon, Nate sits down to catch his breath. He sits down next to Silvia.
Bunny: Hey, little mama. How are you?
Silvia: I not mama. Mama at work…I Sivia.
Bunny: Women’s rights for toddlers too…sorry about that. I’ll be sure to call you Silvia from now on. So…how’s your day so far, Silvia? You’re looking a bit angry there, rightfully so.
Nate doesn’t sit for long…after talking to Silvia for a while, he checks in on his old friend Baylee.
Nate shows a few of the babies his dance moves, then carries Baylee over to the highchair when she tells him that she wants food. While he’s there…Cannon walks over, demanding food as well.
Bunny: Let’s see what we can get you…
Jalisa walks over.
Voidcritter: I’ll care take of him…you’re free to go.
Cannon runs off as soon as Nate places him back on his feet.
Bunny: You sure?
Voidcritter: Yep…6 hours is up. You were a big help!
Jalisa embraces Nate.
Bunny: *after the hug* It went quick…I actually enjoyed that.
Voidcritter: This seems to come naturally to you. Are you around kids a lot?
Bunny: No, but I’m pretty much just a big kid myself. Playing is no problem for me.
Voidcritter: Well, see you soon!
(The Voidcritter) I’m sad that this is my last day with the babies. This was a lot of work, but also a lot of fun. It took a while for Nate to warm up to the babies, but once he got started…he did just the right amount of playing, talking, and caring for them. I believe he was the only one out of all the guys to actually get along with Cannon. Overall, it was a great challenge. Each guy did a good job in his own way.
