There’s a thunderstorm outside, so the guys meet up with Jalisa at her townhome for the next elimination.
The Voidcritter: By now, we all know how tough these eliminations are…so I’ll bypass mentioning it this time. *slow, deep breath* Again, I will approach you in the order of our next solo date…except it’ll be in reverse order. If I approach you first…our solo date will be the last, and so on. This location of these next set of dates is a surprise. It will be crucial to those who have found themselves close to elimination several times because it could possibly give you the edge you need to keep you competitive within this competition.
(Note: The order is based on your votes…the first person approached received the most votes but will be the last to go on his solo date with Jalisa. The second person received the second-highest number of votes and will be the next to last date, and so on…)
Jalisa approaches Nate first and attempts to hug him, but he rejects it.
Bunny: I’m sorry…this is really tough on all of us. These guys are my friends, and I hate to see them go.
Voidcritter: I know it’s tough. But are you still in this thing? Do you want to go on this next solo date with me?
Bunny: I couldn’t want anything more. I just need a moment…*feeling emotional*
This is the first time Nate has ever rejected a hug from her, but she completely understands.
Voidcritter: Our date will be the fourth date, so I’ll see you in a few days…
Nate leaves the room. Jalisa approaches Merlin and Angus next. They gladly accept her hugs and will be the second and third dates in the next round.
Jalisa is left to face the last two guys. She steps up to Thomas first…
Voidcritter: I really regret what happened between us on our date. I’m sorry that I overreacted. I actually lost sleep last night because of it.
Bear: I regret it too. But I still enjoyed the time spent with you.
She walks over to Miles next…and gives him a hug.
Voidcritter: You will be my first solo date this time. I’ll see you in a few hours.
Miles is relieved but sad that this means that Thomas has been eliminated.
Voidcritter: I’m so sorry, Thomas…
Bear: Don’t be…I’d never want to be the cause of you having a frown on your face.
Voidcritter: It’s time to remove your costume.
After the costume has been removed, Jalisa rushes over and gives Thomas a big hug.
Thomas: Hi there!
Voidcritter: You have the kindest face I have ever seen.
Thomas: Thank you! Can I ask you one question?
Voidcritter: Sure…anything
Thomas: What is it about me being “old fashioned” that bothered you so much?
Voidcritter: When I heard it…I just had a vision of a housewife, slaving in a kitchen with three babies at her ankles and one on her hip. I couldn’t get that out of my head…and there’s nothing wrong with staying home and raising babies, but it’s just not me. My career is very important to me right now.
Thomas: *grabs Jalisa’s hands* Darling…I would have never expected anything like that from you. I only wanted to love you just as you are….no matter what, until the day I died. Me being “old fashioned” just means that I don’t require a bunch of fancy things to make me stick around…that’s all.
Voidcritter: I can’t imagine a world without you in it. I really hope that we can remain friends.
Thomas: Yes…I’d be honored to have you as a friend.
Voicdritter: I wish you the best, Thomas. I’ll see you during the finale.
Note: I was in the car with my daughter the other day, and this song came on. It immediately reminded me of Thomas and inspired this scene. It’s an oldie, but forever goodie and I think you’ll see exactly what I mean if you listen to it…
(The Voicdritter) *complete silence for several minutes* I don’t have words for how I feel right now. I’ll just leave it at that.
