The Business Trip – Day 2 (1)
Although it’s a vacation for the rest of the family, it’s still a business trip for Merlin. He has to leave for a meeting, so Jalisa takes it upon herself to take the triplets to the Festival of Youth while he’s gone.
Once they arrive at the festival, Jalisa and the triplets pose for a picture with Yamachan, who seems to be a consistent part of most festivals in Mt. Komorebi.
The main activity of the Festival of Youth is the Voidcritter Hunt, which all three of the triplets actively take part in. The promise of a prize for anyone who finds 10 Voidcritters is too much to resist. It also becomes a competition between them. Each one of them is determined to be the first to locate 10.
The only thing that puts a temporary stop to the Voidcritter search is the offer of an Ice Cream Crepe from Jalisa. Everyone orders a different flavor, forgetting that it’s still frigid outside. Lia becomes a bit too chilled after eating hers way too quickly.
The triplets beg Jalisa to buy them each a Paper Kabuto from the nearby vending machines. Once they’re each powered with their own Samurai Helmet, the Voidcritter hunt resumes with Me-Me way in the lead.
Merlin surprises Jalisa by arriving near the end of the festival.
Jalisa: *hugs Merlin* You made it!
Melisa is close to finding 10 Voidcritters when she realizes that she only has an hour left before the festival ends. She frantically searches for two more, just as Lia and Jay have decided to give up, but it’s too late. Yamachan has left the festival, along with her only chance to earn the highly coveted prize.
Melisa: *angry* Where the heck did he go?
Yamachan: *happily walking away* I’m long overdue for a snack and a nap!
