28 Blind Dates: After the Costumes (Part 46)

Having his own bedroom without his sisters to help keep it clean means that Jalin’s Slob trait gets to make its debut. He also has the Loves the Outdoors trait, Gregarious trait, and the Party Animal aspiration.

Glad to have the day off from school, Jay calls up his friends Kory and Cale and asks them if they want to come over to hang out.

Jalin: *on the phone* I have my own bedroom now without my nosy sisters. It’ll be great!

Another advantage that comes along with Jay’s new bedroom – he has his own entrance. His friends can come over at any time without anyone knowing.  Jay is in the middle of a game when they arrive.

Kory: That’s my favorite game. I got next!

Jalin: Yeah, sure.

Cale: *pulls out his phone* Oh wow, guys! Guess who just liked my Simstagram post?

Kory: Your mom?

Cale: No, dumbass. Your girlfriend.

Jalin: *chuckles* We all know that’s not true because he doesn’t have one.

Kory: Shut up, Jay. *to Cale* Who was it?

Cale: Kendra Ortiz! I think she likes me.

Jalin: Yeah, right.

Kory: I’ll believe that when I see it. *sits down next to Jay*

Jay challenges Cale to a game.

Cale: Challenging me is your first mistake. No one can beat me.

Jalin: That’s what your mouth says. But check out my score.

Cale: What the hell? How are you beating me?

Jalin: It’s called skills.

After Jay wins the first round, he turns and sees Kory sitting at his desk with his textbook out.

Jalin: Are you really doing homework right now?

Kory: I told my mom I was coming over to study. She said she wanted proof.

Jalin: Really, dude?

Jay beats Cale for the second time. Kory rewards him with a high five.

Kory: Nice one, dude.

Cale: *astonished* I don’t know how that happened. No one can beat me at this game.

Jalin: Obviously, someone can – me, the king of gaming!

Jay walks over to the popcorn machine and puts in the ingredients for buttered popcorn.

Jalin: Anybody want any?

Cale: Yeah!

Kory: Of course!

After the popcorn is ready…

Cale: We should watch a movie. I think Moonlight Massacre 3 is on.

Jalin: I’ve never seen that one.

Cale: It’s the best. I’ve watched it a hundred times.

Kory: Put it on.

Cale turns on the movie, and everyone sits down with their bowls of popcorn to watch.

Cale: Pay attention! This is the best part.

Kory: Shut up so we can.

Halfway through the movie…

Cale: Ugh, he’s the best character. It’s too bad he dies with everyone else at the end.

Jalin: Did you just give away the ending, dummy?

Cale: It’s not about the end. It’s about the journey.

Kory: Whatever, dude. Now it’s ruined.

Jay finishes up his popcorn, enjoying this time spent with his friends, even though they can sometimes be some real idiots.
