Amelia reads the papers given to her by Chalyela.  The papers contained information on subversion.  Amelia goes to her archives to read more about the topic.
Through her research, she discovers that any gang is destined to fail if the view of its leader no longer falls in line with its followers.
So if I can corrupt one of the gang’s leaders, their whole mission will fail, Amelia thinks to herself.
“I know just how to do that!” Amelia realizes out loud.
For this mission, Amelia feels that a makeover is in order.  If she can seduce one of the gang leaders, she may be able to change the whole structure of their plans.
Amelia picks out a dress that gets her a lot of male attention whenever she wears it.  Now she takes a look around her room.  She wants to give it a seductive makeover, just in case she has to bring one of the gang members to her room in order to fulfill her quest.
While Amelia is busy with her plans, Queen Chalyela gives birth to a baby boy.
Chalyela holds her newborn close, but this occasion is bittersweet, for she has been forced to put the fate of the kingdom into the hands of a bard.
She prays to the Watcher that Troubadour Amelia has what it takes to infiltrate the gangs and bring them down from the inside.  Only then will Archolia ever be ruled by her son, Prince Ivan the 2nd.
A coat of red paint and a new double bed, hours later, and Amelia is ready to do what she must in order to save the kingdom.
She is now ready for the second part of her strategy.  She has decided to begin her seduction of the Rat King with a love poem.  First, she decided to gather inspiration for her poem by speaking with some of the foreign dignitaries that are currently visiting Archolia.

First she speaks with
Timelord Kain of Ticktop.
Timelord Kane describes his kingdom, along with their unique customs and knowledge.  Amelia is inspired to write about inventing and tinkering from speaking to Kane.  However, this is not quite what she is going for in her poem to the Rat King.
Amelia thanks the Timelord and decides to move on to another dignitary.
On her way to the castle, she passes Smithmaster Tom of Crafthole.
She doubles back and decides to speak with him for a while.  Smithmaster Tom does not give her the inspiration that she is looking for.
Amelia makes her way to the castle.  She wants her poem to be about finding love from a foreign land.  Growing up as a peasant child in the village, she has no idea what living in a foreign land is like.  She hopes that she can get an idea by speaking with a few of the remaining  foreign dignitaries.
In the queen’s tactical map room, Amelia spends time conversing  with High Priestess Patricia of Yacothia.  Priestess Patricia is of the Jacobian faith and speaks only of the Watcher.  This is not the inspiration that Amelia is looking for.  After Patricia begins trying to convert Amelia over to the Jacobian faith, she  decides to quickly move on.
The leader of Burdley is a quiet, soft spoken woman.  Amelia finds it tough to get much information out of her and is certainly not really inspired by her so again she moves on.
Finally, Amelia is once again face to face with Pirate Queen Meghan.
Meghan’s sassy attitude, which constantly borders on sarcasm and plain rudeness gives Amelia just the inspiration that she needs.
Amelia is very concerned about the Pirate Queen Meghan’s true motives.  This makes her even more determined to destroy the Rat King’s gang.
