Jeff’s conversation with Angela has totally drained his energy which can possibly affect his chances of earning a much-needed promotion today. The best he can do to regain the lost energy is drink a couple of energy drinks before leaving for work.
It’s official…Kisha will not be going back to work until after the baby arrives. Now the only thing that would make her happier than that is a good, long nap to catch up on much-needed sleep.
Kisha wakes up from her nap feeling closer to her normal self. A hot plate of freshly cooked spaghetti sounds like the perfect meal to compliment her good mood.
Kisha changes into her regular clothes and lets her hair down. This is her way of making up for her bad mood this morning with Jeff. He deserves at least that.
Jeff arrives home with good news…he’s finally been promoted; although it’s only as a locker room attendant. It still means that he’ll be bringing in a little more money. He walks into the house, hoping that Kisha is feeling a little better…
Jeffrey: Hey babe! Is it okay if I eat on the couch?
Kisha: Sure..I’m just finishing up…I’ll join you.
Jeff silently thinks about his discussion with Angela this morning. He considers telling Kisha about it but doesn’t want to stress and worry her with Angela’s foolishness. He decides not to tell her. Tonight will be all about her…
Jeffrey: You look beautiful by the way!
Kisha: *happy that Jeff noticed* Thank you!
Jeffrey: I finally got a promotion.
Kisha: *gives Jeff a big hug* I’m so happy for you! You deserve it…you’ve worked so hard.
Jeffrey: Thanks
Kisha: Oh!
Jeffrey: *backs away* You okay? Did I hurt you?
Kisha: No…the baby is moving. Quick…feel right here *indicates a specific spot on her tummy*
Jeffrey: That’s the baby? Oh, my Gawd…that’s amazing.
Jeffrey: You know the best part about you being pregnant?
Kisha: What?
Jeffrey: We no longer have to worry about you getting pregnant!
Kisha: I don’t get – Oh!
Jeffrey: Let’s go!
Jeff does everything he can to make sure that Kisha still feels beautiful, desirable and loved because that’s exactly how he feels about her.
