Back at home…
Alida: Sorry about the audition. What happened?
Michelle: I don’t know. My agent was really vague about why I didn’t get it. But there’ll be other auditions. *gets up from the couch with a package* I got you something?
Alida: What did you do?
Michelle: Something I know we can’t afford, but I was a bit bummed out about not getting the role, so I went shopping to make myself feel better.
I open the box and am shocked to see a laptop computer.
Alida: Michelle! But you said –
Michelle: I know I said that I’d get it if I got the role, but…let’s just consider it an investment. Pretty soon, we’ll be rolling in dough, right?
Alida: I hope so! Thank you so much!
Michelle: Don’t thank me…it was your money too.
I hurry over to the desk and set the computer up. Then I log into my online computer programming class.
While I try to complete my next assignment, Michelle turns on a workout video to raise her fitness skill. She doesn’t want a lack of fitness to be the reason she fails another audition.
Soon, it’s time for me to leave for work…which is starting to feel like such a waste of time.
Meanwhile…at the Romance Festival in San Myshuno. Michelle did get something from the audition – a date.
