Marvel and I arrive at Daddy’s place in San Sequoia a few minutes before 5. Daddy answers the door, looking very different than the last time I saw him. Like Mom, he’s aged up to an elder, but that’s not what it is. It takes me a minute or two to figure it out while…
Marvel leaves early the next morning to pack, inform his landlord, and get his stuff ready for the move. Meanwhile, I meet Juanita outside to be introduced to the newest member of our family. Sleeping on a pad next to Finesse is a beautiful chestnut colored stallion. Tambara: You found Finesse a boyfriend! Juanita: Yes,…
I head out to do some training with Finesse the next morning, but I notice that her mood seems to be down again, which has been very common lately. Juanita is there shoveling manure when I call her over. Juanita: Good morning, Miss Tami. Tambara: Good morning, Juanita. I’m worried about Finesse. She seems very…
So, what’s been going on with the rest of the Banks Dynasty family members? Here’s an update on some of Tambara Banks’ extended family. For reference, the Banks Dynasty Family Tree is available here. Tambara’s uncle, Mason (Dub’s brother), is still happily married to his high school sweetheart, Zoe. Their daughter Serena is now a…
The ride back to Marvel’s place is full of stolen touches and desperate stares. He’s still trying to remain respectful of the driver; I couldn’t care less about that. Once we arrive at his place and go through his front door, we no longer have to contain ourselves. We stand face-to-face and strip down to…
Marvel is right about the buffet. Everything looks amazing. I help myself to some buttered chicken and sparkling punch and take a seat across from where he’s sitting at a small table. It’s a pretty spot overlooking the grape field. Tambara: Nice spot. Marvel smiles. Marvel: I had to practically bribe the hostess to get…
I wake to a heavy storm the next morning; all I can do is hope it doesn’t put a damper on my plans with Marvel later. But then again, he lives in the middle of the desert where there isn’t much rain. As much as I’d love to spend a lazy morning inside, I can’t…
Maia wakes up to an unsightly view and the sharp scent of cat vomit all over the dining area. Either something Maj ate did not agree with her, or she is sick and needs to go to the vet. Maia checks around the house and finds the poor cat in the guest room, hiding inside…
I arrive at the Rusty Horseshoe and find Marvel already on the dance floor. I walk over, glad he made an effort to choose the right clothes for this date. Tambara: Getting started without me? Marvel: I figured I’d practice so I wouldn’t embarrass myself. Tambara: Looks like you’re holding your own. And I like…
Mom joins me first thing the next morning for my riding competition, just like we planned. This time, feeling a little daring, I enter the Show Jumping beginner competition. My heart is still pounding from the excitement as Mom and I leave the equestrian center together after it’s all over. Maia: That was amazing, Tadpole….
