Alice eventually notices that I’m isolated from the family. She walks over to check in on me…

Alice: You don’t watch Game of Llamas?

Alida: No…I never had the chance to get into it.

This is true…trying to work and survive has taken up the majority of my time.

Alice: You’ll have to play catch up when you get a chance…it’s one of the best shows on TV.

Alida: Okay, maybe I will. It looks like you all really enjoy it!

Alice: Yeah…we’ve been into it for a while. We’d love to have you join us in our family obsession *chuckles*. It’s a good way to spend some quality time together, you know?

Alida: I can see that. I’ll see if I can catch up soon.

Alice turns to walk away, but keeps talking…

Alice: And I really hope you and Q really consider our invitation to visit with us in Sulani. *sits back down*

Alida: We’ll consider it…thanks.

Alice: Good! It would really pain us to be so far away from our granddaughter for too long.

I’ve never been anywhere, so going to Sulani for the summer actually sounds interesting. I’m just not too sure how Q would feel about it. I get back to work just as the pizza finally arrives.

(Note: I ran into a really annoying issue with pizza delivery. Q ordered the pizza and it came in about 30 sim minutes, but when I tried to send him to take the pizza…he had a lock over his head and acted like he was having a routing issue. I tried to have Alida get it, but she had the same reaction. I canceled the delivery by ordering a 2nd pizza, which caused the first delivery person to leave saying that they left the pizza in the outside in the dirt…but I didn’t see it anywhere. I had the same issue with the 2nd pizza. Eventually, that delivery person left too…but this time she left the pizza on the ground, inside near the door, so I was able to pick it up and move it to a counter. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone know a work-around? Thanks in advance!)

After the pizza has been delivered, I receive another visitor…Michelle!

Michelle: I’m here to see how you’re doing and meet my niece.

Seeing her is like a warm fire on a cold day. I greet her with a big hug and introduce her to Peri. Afterward, I grab a slice of pizza and we sit down to talk.

Q and his parents finish eating and watching their show. Q clears up the dirty dishes as his sister and parents begin to leave. As Q is cleaning I let Michelle know that I need her help decorating the bottom floor. After I finish eating, I lead her downstairs to show her the space.

I show her the room that will eventually be Peri’s.

Alida: What do you think? I don’t even know where to start with decorating.

Michelle: It’s a really nice room. I’m no decorating expert, but I’m sure the two of us can come up with some ideas.

Alida: Thanks…and there’s really no rush. Q’s parents are moving to Sulani and they want us to come and stay with them for the summer. I don’t know if we will or not, but –

Michelle: *cuts in* Are you kidding me? Sulani! You’d better tell them ‘hell yes’! That would be an incredible opportunity to really get to know them and I hear that Sulani is absolutely gorgeous. It would be an amazing get-away for you and Peri. She’d be like an island baby!

Alida: I guess Q and I have a lot of discussing to do then.

Q is upstairs working when Michelle and I make our way back up. Peri is awake with a smelly diaper, so I go over to change her.

After Peri is all cleaned up and presentable…I show her off to Michelle.

Michelle: She’s absolutely adorable. She’s practically your twin. I can’t wait to spoil her!

Alida: My twin? I think she looks more like Q.

Michelle: I guess we’ll just have to see as she gets older.

It’s late, so Michelle makes her exit. Peri is quiet in her crib, so I decide to go ahead and try to watch an episode of Game of Llamas while I can. I’m hooked immediately…luckily Q takes over the baby care for the moment so I can continue watching the show.
