We travel to another area of Sulani called Mua Pel’am, where the Admiral’s Research Center is located. Peri is extra excited when we get there.
Prosperity: Pishies! We see pishies.
I carry Peri down the stairs and let her loose in front of the biggest fish tank I’ve ever seen.
Prosperity: Blue pishies, red pishies, yeyo pishies!
I didn’t even know she knew her colors. She must have learned it on her tablet.
Alida: Look Peri…there’s more fish over here.
Peri toddles over to take a look.
Quincy: What do you think Peri? Do you like the fish?
Peri’s eyes don’t leave the colorful fish. That’s enough of an answer for Q.
It’s time to go to another area of the center. Q picks Peri up and shows her where they keep the frogs and other animals that can be found in Sulani.
I have to admit that being here is just as much of a treat for me as it is for Peri. I’ve never been to an aquarium before. Q has exposed me to so many new things today and I appreciate him for that.
We go outside and complete our aquarium visit by snapping some pictures to help us remember this day. Q and I take turns taking pictures with Peri.
It’s getting late and we’re all hungry, so we retreat to the other side of the island where there’s a snack area. Just as I finish eating, I receive a call from Michelle. I tell her all about our day and she reminds me to visit Mama Nadine before we leave Sulani. I promise her that visiting Mama Nadine is definitely on my must-do list.
The sun begins to go down and we decide that it’s time to go home. Peri follows us until the fatigue is too much for her. She drops down in the sand and goes to sleep.
Back at home, we clean Peri up and tuck her into bed. Today has been a very, very good day.
