Now that I’m officially done with school, it’s time to get started on converting the warehouse. I call up my friend, Wild, who is a Civil Designer. In her line of work, she knows a lot about securing permits, and she can also help with a design for my new home. Not only that, her partner Kimmie is an interior decorator and is eager to help with my project. They both agree to meet me in Windenburg that evening. I show them around the entire property.
Kimmie: So, what are your plans for this space?
Prosperity: I’m thinking of a pool with a big outdoor kitchen. I’ve been deprived of a social life for so long, and I want to host parties.
Kimmie: What about that garage?
Prosperity: I want to convert that to a pool house for my dad. I want it to have a kitchen, bathroom, oh… *reaches up to the sky* and a big skylight in the ceiling so he can get plenty of light.
Wildflower: That’s incredibly ambitious.
Prosperity: Is it doable, though?
Kimmie: *interjects* Of course it is! *to Wild* C’mon, babe. This is the type of project we’ve been dying to get our hands on.
Wildflower: It’ll be expensive.
Prosperity: But worth it, right? And I’ll be helping out the environment. It would be extremely wasteful to go with a new construction.
Kimmie: She has a point.
Prosperity: Wild, I can’t do this without you. Are you in?
Wildflower: Of course. We’ll make it work.
Kimmie claps her approval.
Kimmie: I was in from the start.
I’m thrilled. I now have a team.
Wild and Kimmie follow me inside and listen as I lay out my ideas for the downstairs.
Prosperity: The city will remove the machines. And I’d like to see a kitchen, dining area and living room on this floor.
Kimmie: It looks doable. You might even have room for a small work desk right by the stairs there.
Prosperity: I’d love that!
Prosperity: I guess the next question is – how soon can we have it all done?
Wildflower: Well, I can send a cleanup crew out early tomorrow. Once that’s done –
Kimmie: I can get started. I think we can have this done relatively soon. As long as we don’t run into any wiring issues…
Wildflower: …or structural damage.
Kimmie: I don’t see it taking too long to get you and your family all moved in.
I’m so happy to hear that.
Prosperity: *hugs Wild* Thank you both so much! I have some incredible friends.
Wild, Kimmie, and I go over some last-minute details. Wild steps away to get a good look at the windows and other structures, while Kimmie asks me some questions about my ideal décor style.
After everything has been set in motion, I leave Kimmie and Wild there to soak in the environment and do whatever they need to do to get their minds ready to take on such a big project. I’ll be forever indebted to them if they can pull this conversion off.
Back at home, I finalize the idea of us finally moving on by placing a sale sign outside of our house. After that, all I can do is hope to get an offer on the place soon.
I go inside and prepare dinner while Kai spends some time alone in his bedroom.
It’s late and time for bed, but I can’t go to sleep without calling Waddell and updating him on the situation with Kai. He’s as happy as I was to know that Kai is fine with us seeing each other. Now that everything has been taken care of, I can finally rest and prepare to graduate tomorrow.
