Kai arrives home from his last day of high school with good news. He’s now a straight “A” student. So naturally, he can’t wait to tell his mom and grandfather, but the rec room is calling his name, for now, so he heads down for some online gaming with friends.
I’m in the living room, still chasing a promotion by studying my logic skills when daddy returns home.
Prosperity: Hey, daddy. I was just looking for you at your place, but obviously, you weren’t there. Everything good?
Quincy: Yeah, I decided to try out that group that you told me about.
Prosperity: Great! How was it? Did you meet any special ladies?
Daddy sits down before answering. I sit down next to him.
Quincy: I met some lovely people. You should have told me that it was a singles group, Peri. You can’t rush me on this. I can’t just replace your mother, you know?
Prosperity: I know, and I’m not trying to rush you. To be fair, I didn’t realize it was a singles group right away. I’m not trying to rush you into anything, I promise. I just hope you had fun.
Quincy: I did, and I’m glad that I went. I think I’ll go again on Thursday. It’s a fun bunch of people.
Prosperity: Good. That’s what’s important, then.
Quincy: Exactly, now if you’ll excuse me. I have a few things that I need to do, and then I’m going to bed.
Prosperity: Okay, daddy. Good night. I’ll see you tomorrow.
Daddy retreats to his place, and I continue studying.
Kai finishes up his gaming session, then heads back towards the house. He’s already out in the middle of the blizzard before he realizes that he accidentally left his coat in the rec room. He hurries into the house, slipping on ice a few times, and warms up some of his Pop-pop’s barbeque for dinner.
Tomorrow, he ages up. The thought makes him nervous and excited at the same time. It’ll be his turn to shine.
After leveling up my logic skill, I take a break from studying and head upstairs to work on a painting. Just as I’m cleaning up and putting my brushes away, I get a text from Waddell asking if I want to go out.
Prosperity’s Text: It’s way too cold out. Why don’t you just come over here, so we can keep each other warm?
Waddell’s Text: I have no objections to that. Let me feed Dapper, and I’ll be right over.
I can think of only one way to prepare for Waddell coming over. I climb down from my art studio and go straight to the bathroom, where I fill the tub with warm water and a rose petal bath oil.
Once I’m out of the tub, I receive a text from Waddell letting me know he’s outside. I slip on some warm clothes to let him in.
I lead Waddell to my bedroom, happy that daddy and Kai are both in their bedrooms – hopefully asleep.
I turn to Waddell and begin to undress him.
Prosperity: Let’s get you out of those wet clothes.
After we’ve stripped down to our underwear, Waddell and I share a few hot kisses.
Waddell: *whispers* You smell incredible – like roses.
The rose petal soak was a good decision.
Prosperity: Thank you.
After a few minutes, he makes one request.
Waddell: *continues* I need you to sit down on that couch right there.
I’m curious about what he has in mind, but I keep quiet and follow his request. Finally, he kneels in front of me and makes himself right at home. Let’s just say that we forget all about the blizzard outside. There’s nothing but heat in my bedroom.
