It’s a beautiful yet cool morning in Tartosa. I grab Hiro and take him for a jog to get a preview of what the town has to offer. I remember vacationing here as a child, but it was in the spring or summertime when it was hot. We spent a lot of time at the beach. The chill in the air kills that as an option today.
Meanwhile, Maia wakes up in an odd but familiar mood as the sweet things Dub said last night resurfaces in her thoughts.
Maia’s Thoughts: Ugh, I don’t deserve him. Why is he with me? All he wants to do is love me, and I can’t even give in completely.
Maia would love to have a beautiful, loving family like Dub has. She could be a part of it all, but her mind tells her that people like her don’t deserve that type of future.
Maia knows she cannot let these negative thoughts persist. She takes out her yoga mat and positions it on the balcony, where she can look out and enjoy the beautiful views of Tartosa. She fights to regain control of her thoughts and feelings, but the negativity continues.
Maia’s Thoughts: He doesn’t love you. You’re not even on his level.
Maia tries to clear her mind as she begins a mind-centering yoga routine. But her thoughts have a few last things to say.
Maia’s Thoughts: You’re trash. You come from the gutter, and that’s where you belong. When he figures that out, he’ll leave you!
Maia knows she can’t trust her mind in times like this. She continues into another pose and responds out loud.
Maia: Stop it! He loves me, and I love him. He wants to be with me. He wants a future with me. I want that, too!
Her words contain enough conviction to quiet the negative thoughts. Maia continues her yoga, finally able to focus.
I find Maia on the balcony reading after I’ve returned from my jog, showered, and changed. I sit beside her, thinking about where we should go first.
Wade: Are you ready to explore Tartosa?
Maia puts her book away and stands up. I join her.
Maia: Yeah. What did you see during your jog?
Wade: How about I show you?
Maia: Okay
Our first stop is the beach I ran by with Hiro. I remember visiting this same beach as a child. It’s too cold to swim or hang out, although that doesn’t stop a bunch of other Sims who are there. We take a few selfies and then leave our marks in the sand.
After that, I show her a small hedge maze I saw earlier. Maia smiles when she sees it.
Maia: I’ve heard about hedge mazes, but I’ve never been in one. What do you think is in the middle?
Wade: I have no —
Before I can say ‘idea,’ Maia takes off running towards the maze and disappears among the hedges. I run after her. Inside, I find that it’s not quite a maze. You can’t exactly get lost. It’s more like a spiral. Maia waits for me in the middle, grinning with child-like excitement.
Maia: There’s nothing here!
My adrenaline is pumping from the extra run, and she looks gorgeous.
Wade: There’s this!
I pull her in for a kiss.
Maia: Not what I expected, but I like it.
Wade: Good. We have more time to kill before leaving for Luca and Sophia’s party. Are you hungry?
Aunt Lia and Uncle Stef own a restaurant nearby called Jamila’s Place. I promised myself I’d check it out if I were ever in town; this is my chance. I approach the host.
Wade: Hello. I want a table for two, please.
Host: Your name?
Wade: Uh, it’s Wade – Wade Banks.
The host checks his list.
Wade: I didn’t make a reservation or anything.
The host points to his tablet.
Host: But you’re here on my VIP list – Wade Banks.
Wade: Oh, Aunt Lia must have added me.
Host: Please follow me —
Maia and I follow him to a lovely table near a window.
Wade: This is my Aunt and Uncle’s restaurant. Order anything you want.
Maia: They own this restaurant too? It’s so beautiful.
I remember Maia talking about how much she likes to cook.
Wade: Could you see yourself owning a restaurant in the future?
Maia: Not really. A food stand is good enough for me.
She glances at the menu, and I can almost see her grimace at the prices.
Maia: We could never have afforded to eat at a restaurant like this when I was growing up. A food stand would allow me to keep the prices low and make it accessible to more people.
Wade: That’s a noble thing to do.
Wade: So, what do you think of Tartosa so far?
Maia: It’s beautiful, and the weather reminds me of the West Coast.
Wade: If we ever decide to sell the house and move, I’d like to be someplace where it doesn’t snow.
Maia: That’s because you grew up seeing it. I never really saw snow up close until I moved to Brindleton Bay.
Wade: So you’d miss it?
Maia: I’m not saying that. I can take it or leave it. But it’s been nice experiencing it for the first time.
I smile because I genuinely love how adaptable Maia is. I can’t recall her complaining about anything. We continue our conversation as our food arrives.
It’s finally time for us to get ready for the party. I change into several different outfits, unsure of what to wear. After about three changes –
Wade: What do you think about this one?
Maia: It looks as good as the other eight you showed me. How much stuff did you bring?
Wade: Obviously, not enough.
Maia walks over to her bag, giving me a full view of her ‘barely there’ panties. I’m suddenly feeling lightheaded.
Maia: I only brought a few dresses to keep my choices easy.
Wade: But you brought that body, making it hard for me to concentrate.
Maia: Be good! We have to get ready.
I lean over my suitcase to find pants to go with the jacket that I’ve chosen. But that task doesn’t hold my attention for long because Maia still hasn’t put anything on. I step over to her.
Wade: Would Luca mind if we’re a little late to the party?
Maia: Why would we be late?
Wade: I’m two seconds away from picking you up and carrying you over to the bed.
Maia: *smiles* We can’t be late.
Wade: You sure? Because you are looking good enough to eat right now.
I take my chances and lean in for a kiss. She kisses me back but is still resistant.
Maia: Dub!
Wade: C’mon – 5 minutes?
Maia: *insists* We can’t be late, Dub.
I finally give up and pull back a little.
Wade: Okay, but this is to be continued.
Luca’s party was a bit odd for me. His friend Chi Chi was extra flirty and paid Maia way too much attention the entire time. I could barely enjoy myself until Luca assured me that Chi Chi is naturally flirty and harmless, but how can I be sure that Maia might not be a bit curious about being with another woman? I mean, Chi Chi is gorgeous and brimming with woohoo energy. And Maia didn’t exactly seem to mind the time spent around her.
When we return to the rental, I’m determined to get Chi Chi out of her mind for good. We’re back in the hot tub, and since neither of us had ever been in one before yesterday, I know it would be a new experience to woohoo in one. I’m still a bit horny from before the party, and I can’t lie – the thought of Maia and that fine-ass Chi Chi together weaves itself into a new fantasy in my head, making me want Maia even more. Without hesitation, I straddle her and kiss her deeply. Then I gently pull her into the center of the hot tub and look into her eyes—
Wade: I hope you want me as much as I want you.
Maia: *whispers* Even more
That’s all I needed to hear –
