Me-Me and Kai’s plan for celebrating Tambara’s birthday is to invite cousin Terra’s children to join them on a trip to the play castle that recently opened up in nearby Windenburg. Since Tambara has never met these distant cousins, they figure it would be the perfect chance to introduce her to them while giving her some other kids her age to play with.
Tambara is happy to meet Jaron and Gia, who are twins. But she’s way more excited to play in a real-life castle. She takes off running as soon as they approach.
Tambara: Look, Gran and Pop-Pop! It’s like the castle in my bedtime books!
Kai: It is, and we think you’ll like it even better when you get inside.
Inside, Tami overcomes her slight reluctance and finally talks to Gia.
Tambara: You’re a pretty girl. I like your dress. Gran says you’re even prettier if you say ‘thank you.’
Gia: Thank you!
Tambara: Have you ever been to a real-life castle before?
Gia: No. Have you?
Tambara: No, but I’m gonna live in one when I grow up!
Gia: *impressed* Oh! That’s cool.
Tambara: You can come and visit if you want. There will be servants and everything!
After her brief talk with Gia, Tami looks around and notices the stage and the puppet theater.
Kai: So, who will do the first show for us?
Tami volunteers right away.
Tambara: Me! Me! I want to do a puppet show, Pop-Pop.
Kai: Okay, the stage is all yours.
Tami picks out two puppets and begins her show.
Tambara: *in her best show voice* This is about the princess’s first school day.
Tami’s puppet show goes on for a while until everyone loses interest. She peeps out of the puppet theater and sees that Gia and Jaron aren’t paying attention, and her Gran has walked off. Tami removes the puppets and pops her hand out instead. She moves her fingers together, forming a mouth.
Tambara: *talking with her hands* The audience is rude and not listening, so this puppet show is over.
Tami steps from behind the puppet stage, satisfied to deprive her so-called audience of her show. Unfortunately, no one else seems disappointed.
She forgets about her botched puppet shows once she steps into the arcade with her cousins.
Tambara: Do you know how to play?
Jaron: You point with this and push these buttons.
Tami and Gia follow Jaron’s instructions as best they can. Together, the three of them somehow beat the first level.
Tambara: In your face, you silly aliens!
Their good luck streak doesn’t last for long. The following level brings a frenzy of new alien ships beyond their skill level. Their defeat is immediate, and they just as quickly lose interest.
Jaron: What do we do now?
They look around at the other games and see that most of them are also probably beyond their level. Then Tami spots a ladder that leads up.
Tambara: Ooh, I know! Let’s see what’s at the top of the towers!
Kai spots the crew right before they start their ascent up the ladder.
Kai: Where are you three headed?
Tambara: We want to go up to the tower, Pop-Pop.
Kai: Okay, but wait for me and Gran.
The entire group slowly climbs the ladder to the Little Wizard Tower. Tami is instantly attracted to the chemistry station.
Melisa: Hmm, do we have a future doctor in the family?
Kai: Either that or a scientist.
The kids enjoy their time at the castle, but soon it’s time to leave. Kai and Me-Me have a lot more planned. Next, they take the kids to the Ravenwood Family Day.
Tambara: Pop-Pop, what happens at Family Day?
Kai: There are different activities, food, and even a playground.
The kids are excited to hear about the food and playground and take off running when they spot the festivities.
There are other sims already on the swings, but Tami doesn’t mind when she sees the blue floating things gliding slowly around the playground.
Tambara: Pretty balloons!
When she gets closer, she can see that they are not balloons but something cute but slightly creepy that she’s unfamiliar with. Could they be ghosts? Her daddy said that ghosts don’t exist, but these look like ghosts.
Tambara: Are you the sad, crying lady ghost that’s looking for her children?
The blue floating thing doesn’t seem to like Tami’s question, so it floats away.
Tami gets over the disappointment quickly and approaches a man in a robe with a blackbird behind him.
Tambara: *waves* Hi! Can I play with your bird?
Man in Robe: No! My bird doesn’t like children, so step back!
Tambara: Then why is it at the family day? A bird that doesn’t like children shouldn’t be at a family day.
Man in Robe: My boss required that I be here, so go away!
This angry man could use a swift kick in the leg, but Tami looks around and sees that her Gran and Pop-Pop are standing by and probably wouldn’t like it, so she turns to find something else to do.
She sees Gia and Jaron standing by a table eating hamburgers. She walks towards them until she gets distracted by frogs croaking from the fountain. Tami knows her mother loves frogs. It’s her mommy’s birthday; maybe she can catch a frog to give as a gift.
Tami’s mommy hasn’t taught her how to catch frogs yet, but Tami tries anyway. Every frog she reaches out for slips away quickly, so she has to be faster. Tami spots a very interesting one and goes for it. After a few attempts, she captures it. Frog catching is a part of the Ravenwood Family Day activities, and Tami has just captured the rarest one, successfully winning the contest.
Satisfied with her lucky find, she finally makes her way over to the twins and grabs some food before it’s time for them to go back to her Gran and Pop-Pop’s house.
