As usual, Trent is the first one up. Mitzi wakes up soon after feeling a little queasy.
Mitzi soon learns the cause of her morning queasiness. She’s expecting another baby!
It’s Ray’s birthday! He starts the day off by cooking breakfast, although he should really be taking a shower. He’s looking a bit grungy.
Mitzi: Happy Birthday babe!!
In her excitement, Mitzi catches Ray off guard; causing him to drop the food on the floor.
Raymond: *grumbles* Thank you, Mitz.
Mitzi can tell that Ray’s not so excited about his birthday. Luckily she has great news that can change that!
Mitzi can’t wait to tell Ray that she’s pregnant again, so much so, that she attempts to point it out in not so subtle ways. =)
Mitzi wishes that she had a more clever way of delivering her good news, but she’s not feeling very creative…
Mitzi: Ray… I’m pregnant!
Raymond: Already?
Mitzi: *disappointed* I thought you’d be happier.
Raymond: I am happy! Believe me… I just hoped that we’d have the money to add-on to the house before we had another baby. Trent’s room is way too small to share.
Mitzi: I guess we’ll just have to figure something out.
Raymond: Yeah… hey, do you think you can hold the baby in there for a while to give us more time?
Mitzi: Wha-?
Raymond: Just kidding! A little daddy humor.
Mitzi: Not funny.
Realizing that Ray is right… they need to be making a lot more money before the new baby arrives, Mitzi studies hard to earn a promotion. Sudden nausea interrupts her plans though.
Mission – make more money, in progress…
Ray makes himself a birthday cocktail.
Ray heads to the park to hustle up some money for the family’s much-needed house expansion. He arrives home a little disappointed just as Mitzi is leaving for work.
Ray’s feeling a little down about his unsuccessful attempt at making more money but refuses to let that ruin his birthday. Instead, he makes himself a birthday cake.
Ray makes a wish and blows out his birthday candles…
Trent: *eating cake* So, what did you wish for?
Raymond: If I tell you…it won’t come true, right?
Ray and Trent spend the rest of Ray’s birthday fishing at the stream near their house.
