It’s Trent and Danielle’s wedding day and love and marriage seem to be the only thing on everyone’s minds.
Raymond: A penny for your thoughts…
Kisha: I was just thinking about Trent and Danielle…and what a perfect couple they are.
Raymond: There’s no such thing as a perfect couple.
Kisha: I know…but they seem to mesh so well, you know…like you and mom.
Raymond: Yeah…I guess they do.
Trent: Good morning dad!
Raymond: Good morning son…so I’m finally getting you out of our house today.
Trent: *laughs* Yeah… finally. I just can’t believe that I used to be afraid to even talk to Danielle…and now she’s going to be my wife. I can’t see myself ever being without her.
Trent’s words echo through Greg’s head as he walks by on his way to the bathroom. There’s only one person that he can think of that makes him feel that way…but those feelings are mixed with equally strong feelings of confusion and fear. If only it was as easy as Trent’s situation with Danielle.
Trent: So Kisha, will you miss me when I move out?
Kisha: No…why do you think I worked so hard on making sure you and Danielle hooked up?
Trent: Wow! It’s like that?
Kisha: No, I’m just kidding. Of course, I’ll miss you…you’re my favorite brother. Just don’t tell Greg that!
Trent: What? And risk him having a hissy fit for the rest of the day…never!
Greg mindlessly goes through the motions of a bath because his thoughts are with Abrey. His mind replays all of his interactions with Abrey over the last days. His almost photographic memory reviews everything that’s been said…all the questions that have been asked, every glance and accidental touch. Greg is sure that Abrey would be open to a relationship with him beyond friendship…he’s just not sure if he’s brave enough to pursue it.
A few hours later, Danielle admires herself in the mirror of the dressing room at the Botanic Garden. In a few moments…she’ll be married to the love of her life.
Art, Ebony’s dad, is the hired musician for the wedding. Mitzi and Ray go out back to make sure that everything is in place for the ceremony.
Mitzi: Isn’t this beautiful Ray?
Raymond: Yeah…I never even knew this place existed. You really outdid yourself planning this wedding babe.
Mitzi: Yeah…but Angelique helped.
Raymond: You’re not fooling me…I know you took over with most of the planning.
Mitzi: Okay…maybe I did!
Trent and Danielle stand at the wedding arch, waiting for all of the guests to arrive.
Trent: You look incredibly beautiful!
Danielle: *trembling voice* Thank you!
Trent: You okay?
Danielle: I’m trying not to cry and ruin my makeup.
Trent and Danielle exchange rings and traditional vows…before becoming Mr. and Mrs. Wallace – Livingston.
Danielle: I love you so much!
Trent: I love you more!
Danielle: You okay mom?
Angelique: I admit…I wasn’t exactly thrilled when you told me you were getting married, but it seems that you’re marrying into a great family…so I wish you the very best! I pray that your marriage turns out much better than mine did. *tears up*
Danielle: Oh mom!
Trent and Danielle’s wedding reception is packed with far more people than were invited, but everyone seems to be having a good time.
Trent and Danielle share a slice of wedding cake and seem to be in a world of their own.
Trent: So…when can we sneak out of here?
Danielle: Trent…this is our reception. It’s all about us…we can’t just leave!
