Certain residents of Brindleton Bay continue to be unhappy with Ajay and his lot. They can’t stand the idea of him living in a tent in their beloved little town. They believe that all it’ll do is lower the property values and make living here less desirable, so they’ve decided to fight back.
They’ve begun to spy on Ajay and make note of everything he does. Once they have enough against him…they plan to file a report with the Department of Code Enforcement.
Ajay has no idea that his neighbors are plotting against him. He wakes up to the sound of Cain barking; trying to warn him that there is someone near the lot. Ajay steps out of his tent just happy that the rain has finally stopped.

Some residents are more relentless than others. Ajay ignores the little old lady who seems to be innocently walking her dog. He doesn’t see her as she follows him down to the boardwalk to note that he uses the public restroom rather than live in a normal house with a bathroom of his own. Ajay steps into the restroom to handle his business and the old lady hurries home to write this new bit of information down with her other list of complaints.

There’s no one around when Ajay leaves the restroom and returns to his lot to box. Boxing has become his new favorite form of working out and he’s getting some quick results.

After his workout, Ajay removes his sweaty shirt and takes care of the rest of his morning routine, which includes filling Cain’s food bowl, eating breakfast and washing up.

Ajay hasn’t accumulated a lot of dirty laundry, but he decides to get started on it before it begins to pile up. He uses Mina’s technique for doing laundry…a wash bucket and clothesline. He quickly discovers that it’s not as easy as she made it look. It’s basically a workout in itself.

The hanging is a lot easier than the washing. Ajay just hopes that it’s warm enough for the clothes to actually dry.
Cain is getting a bit restless, so Ajay figures it’s time for them to do some exploring.

Ajay carries Cain to the beach and decides to do some scavenging in the sand. He gets a few good finds that are worth around 80 simoleans. It’s a good start, but Ajay has a feeling that fishing might be a bit more profitable.

Ajay’s usual fishing spot is taken, so he finds a more isolated spot further up the beach. His mood begins to take a swing for the worse, but something about being outdoors with a fishing pole in his hand keeps him calm enough to balance it out. Before too long he makes a good catch. His fishing skills are increasing and he’s learning to use bait now.

Up the beach at Ajay’s usual fishing spot, he’s the topic of conversation…
Fisherman #2 (in hat): So…have either of you seen wildman today?
Fisherman #1: I saw him walking down to the beach a bit ago.
Fisherman #2: What was he up to?
Fisherman #1: Just digging in the sand.
Female Fisher: I wonder why he lives the way he does? I heard that his dad is pretty well off. He lives in that big house by the creek.
Fisherman #2: Yet…his son takes showers outside.
Female Fisher: Tee hee…I actually wouldn’t mind seeing that!
Fisherman #1: I’m surprised at you!
Female Fisher: What?! I’m keeping it 100%. He’s not exactly bad on the eyes.
Fisherman #2: If you’re into the wild bushman sort of thing…
Female Fisher: Jealous much?

Ajay takes a quick shower to wash off the smell of fish from his body. Now it’s time for dinner.

Ajay fires up the grill and prepares some baked potatoes while thinking about preparing for his next trip. He’d love to return to Granite Falls, but part of him is ready for a trip back to Selvadorado. Either trip will cost money, so he’ll have to increase his earnings with a lot more collecting and fishing.

Nighttime approaches. Ajay finishes his day by practicing his guitar. If he gets good enough, he can probably make some tip money by busking in the city from time to time.

Ajay practices until he’s made headway on learning a new song. He finally puts away his guitar and crawls inside his tent for the night.

Alone in his room in Windenburg, Adwin pulls out his cell and dials Mina’s number. Mina answers quickly as if she was expecting his call. Adwin wishes he had given himself more time to think of what to say. He’s absolutely terrified to talk to her and hopes it doesn’t show in his voice. He takes a deep breath and tries to remain calm and collected.
Adwin: *on the phone* Hey babe! I – I just wanted to say that I’ll be home tomorrow.
He listens while Mina expresses her excitement and tells him how much she’s missed him.
Adwin: I’ve missed you too! I have to finish up at the new branch tomorrow and I’ll be home in the evening. You can expect me around 9. How are the boys?

Oblivious to the guilt that Adwin feels bubbling up in his stomach…Mina goes on to tell him how excited the boys are to start school. His responses sound automated and mechanical, because that’s the only way he can get through his conversation without breaking down and telling her everything. The conversation begins to wind down. Adwin smiles, but it’s shaky and tainted by the memories of his iniquity. He’s glad she can’t see it.
Adwin: That’s good to hear! I can’t wait to see you all. Mina…I love you so much!
Mina tells him that she loves him too and they end the call. Adwin sits in one place for a good long while. He doesn’t know how he’s going to do it, but he knows he’s going to have to tell Mina everything that’s happened between him and Carla. He just hopes that her love for him is strong enough to survive it.
Satisfied with his decision, Adwin changes into his bedclothes and climbs into bed. Sleep doesn’t come easy, but it eventually gives Adwin the solace that he needs.
