Reminder: This is my very first Sims 4 family, which was originally posted starting in 2015. I’m in the process of moving these posts over from my Tumblr page. See more info here!

Ajay wakes up the next morning feeling something a little unexpected…arousal and a strong desire for woohoo. It comes at a bit of a shock to him (and me – lol).
He walks over to greet his puppy, Cain, then decides to go for a jog to try and run off a little of the extra energy.

Ajay jogs by a lady walking on the boardwalk. For the first time, he notices her. It makes him blush a little considering what was on his mind when he first woke up.

Ajay returns from his jog, showers, and dresses for the day.

He is sitting down eating breakfast when a stranger walks up to his lot and begins looking around. Ajay walks over.
Adwin-Jamie: *annoyed* Hey! This is a private lot.

The lady waves.
Gretchen: Hi…are you Adwin-Jamie?
Ajay doesn’t answer…he only repeats what he said earlier with more emphasis.
Adwin-Jamie: This is a private lot!
Gretchen: *undeterred* Yes…um – I know. Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Gretchen Cheung and I’m a reporter with the Myshuno times and a –
Adwin-Jamie: I don’t speak to reporters.
Gretchen: Yeah…I…uh…I get that a lot. Look…some residents of Brindleton Bay have filed a complaint against you. We got wind of it and my boss thought it would be an interesting story, so he sent me.

Adwin-Jamie: I said I don’t talk to reporters! Please get off my property!
Gretchen: Did you hear what I’ve said? There are complaints being filed against you! Do you know what that means? You could be forced to pay huge fines and even lose your property.
Gretchen’s words take the fire out of Ajay. It’s the first he’s heard of this. He sits down thinking about what Gretchen is trying to tell him.
Adwin-Jamie: *deflated* But why? Why would someone try to take my property?
Gretchen can tell that she’s finally hit a soft spot.
Gretchen: There are laws that protect towns like Brindleton Bay…to keep the place beautiful and to attract tourists. The residents that have filed against you are saying that living in a tent is a violation of Brindleton Bay’s ordinances. *sits down next to Ajay* Look…I might be able to help you. Let me interview you…I can bring my photography crew. We can show off your lot and get your side of the story.

Ajay doesn’t trust her…and the thought of cameras and a bunch of people being on his lot makes him feel anxious.
Adwin-Jamie: No…I – I don’t think so. I’ll just…I’ll just have to take my chances.
Gretchen sighs in frustration, but decides not to try to push him too much. Instead, she places the power into his hands.
Gretchen: Okay. Here…take my card. Call me if you change your mind.
Gretchen gets up and walks away, but the uneasiness she’s left with him remains long after she gets back into her car and begins driving back to San Myshuno. Ajay realizes that he’s not as free on his lot as he thought he was.

Ajay rolls a desire to buy a hive and raise bees. He decides to make it happen…anything to keep his mind off of what the reporter just told him. But even the bees seem to taunt him. It doesn’t take long for Ajay to realize that the threat of being stung is not the best way to relax and calm his anxiety at the moment.

Ajay decides to call up his dad for some advice and a little peace of mind. After Adwin answers, Ajay fills him in on everything that the reporter said about the complaints being filed and about how he can possibly be kicked off his lot.
Adwin: *on the phone* Son…I have to say that I’m not surprised.
Ajay feels a bit betrayed by his dad’s words.
Adwin-Jamie: Not surprised?
Adwin: Brindleton Bay is known for being a beautiful, quiet little town. There are a lot of people who won’t be as enamored with your tent and your lot as you are. Especially with it being on the beach like it is.
Adwin-Jamie: So…that’s it? I should just give up and let them take my lot?
Adwin: I didn’t say that.
Adwin-Jamie: Then what should I do? What can I do?
Adwin: Your uncle Talib works in city government. You should go and talk to him. I mean, he doesn’t work in Brindleton Bay, but I’m pretty sure that San Myshuno has similar laws. I’d bet that he can give you much better advice than I can.
Ajay hadn’t thought of that. He’s not sure it’ll help but it’s something. Adwin and Ajay conclude the call with small talk about when Adwin will be returning home and stuff like that before Ajay thanks his dad and they hang up.

Ajay texts his Uncle Talib and finds out that he doesn’t get home from work until 4pm. So to kill some time, he travels to another part of Brindleton Bay to find something to do. He picks a few flowers, then turns to his new favorite activity…fishing.

First Ajay doesn’t have much luck, but eventually, he gets a great catch! He’s made over 250 simoleans today.
(Note: I decided to change his aspiration because the outdoor enthusiast one wasn’t working out too well)
